Waterlog
Sometimes, the float valve can develop a crack or leak, causing it to fill with water. When this happens, it no longer floats on the surface of the water. When the chain is pulled, the rear tank will refill, but the ball will not float on the surface of the water, and the water will simply continue to run in the rear tank and exit through the overflow valve.
Break
If the arm of the float valve is bent or shaken too badly, the float valve may break out of it. If you take the lid of your rear tank and you see the float valve floating in the water, but not connected to anything, this is obviously what happened. You will probably need to replace both the float and the float arm to operate the toilet correctly.

The project, developed by the British University of Cranfield , is funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The invention manages to eliminate waste without using water and without the need to be connected to the sanitation network. As you will understand, it is something that caught our attention. In Econet Desatascos we work daily in the cleaning of pipes in the province of Barcelona and the fact of not being connected to a sewerage network is disturbing. Therefore, we want to check if in the future this system will be as reliable as the current toilet.
The intention of the project was to implement it in Africa at the end of 2016. The project has been around for 4 years and is still undergoing tests, although we will surely see its results soon. Well, we'll be attentive!
How does it work
The Nano Membrane Toilet is an ecological invention that uses human waste to generate energy, clean water and fertilizer without using water, external energy or being connected to a sanitation network.

The waste is filtered through a nanomembrane that evaporates the liquids converting them into vapor.
