The second Kronstadt campaign “Razdeleny Draft” on receiving recycled materials from the population and its subsequent recycling took place on Saturday, April 4. 173 people took part in it: 169 Kronstadters (among them 8 volunteers), two residents of neighboring Sestroretsk, two from the Krasnogvardeisky district of St. Petersburg. Together, they collected 550 kilograms of waste paper, 16.5 bags of glass, 11 bags of plastic labeled "1" in the triangle, two plastic bags with "5" in the triangle, one and a half bags - with "2" and "4" in the triangle, three bag with Tetrapack packaging, two metal bags, an aluminum bag and 30 pieces of discs.

The interest of the public has grown - questions have begun
The overall result was twice as large as the results of the first meeting of Kronstadt environmentalists. But the interest in separate collection of waste accepted for recycling from the public did not increase by a factor of two - every five!

Volunteers just showered questions. Why do you take cardboard and do not take wallpaper? Why not take the paper packaging from under the eggs? What if there is no marking? During the first half hour, 60 people visited the reception center. People came and thanked volunteers for the gift of the opportunity to competently get rid of things cluttering up kitchens, balconies, pantries ... Smiling, positive, interested in or long engaged in the idea of ​​making the world a bit cleaner, people said that by deliberate step - to collect recyclable materials and recycle it - they were driven by a landfill that was growing by the day.

The adults brought the children and explained to them what was going on here. A kind of master class! Children happily stamped on plastic bottles with their feet (by the way, try to flatten all the collected plastic at home). Not only that - among the volunteers there were also children: eight-year-old Arina and Violetta playfully packaged recycled materials in separate bags.

The hostesses immediately shared tips on how to arrange space in the kitchen for separate garbage collection. After all, not everyone has a separate empty room. The couple, who came from Sestroretsk, have where to put seven identical cardboard boxes for collecting glass, paper, iron and plastic of several kinds. Lyuba, who lives in Kronstadt, has no such place in the apartment. Rather, it was not. Until recently. On Saturday, she brought to the stock unnecessary glass jars and admitted that she disassembled the mezzanine specifically in order to more actively join the movement "Separate Collection".

The hotel staff said that such a waste collection system has been operating in Solden for over 10 years, and all the waste is being brought to the neighboring city for recycling. On the streets of tanks for separate collection, we did not see, only barrels adapted for street urns, painted in red.
And in a restaurant at an altitude of 3500 m, we saw such a cart with 4 containers: glass and metal, plastic packaging, organic, everything else. The waiters, clearing the tables, immediately sort the waste. Then large containers, as they are filled, are sent down the cable car to the city. There is no rubbish in the mountains.

Even the advertising business is already placing at its expense image-based social advertising. But for the time being she is wasting. Really in Moscow, no one will throw up the bank to the "right" tank?
