How to make a metal bed frame Stop chirp
A squeaky metal bed frame is not just irritating, noise can interrupt your sleep pattern and prevent you from feeling rested in the morning. Even if you do not remember waking up in the middle of the night, you might sleep lighter on a squeaky bed than you would on a well-maintained one. You can use a few low-cost household items to block, cushion or lubricate the frame and springs and keep your bed from making a racket.

Instructions
1 Remove the mattress and box spring and locate the source of the squeaks. Sit on each edge of the bed and bounce until you hear the screech. Check the box spring and any area where the frame parts connect.
2 Remove the screws and bolts that secure the rails to the housing. Place a plastic washer on each screw, place the screws and place another washer between the frame and the bolt. Tighten the screws.
3 Spray a petroleum-based lubricant on squealing springs or interlocking connectors at the corners of the bed.
4 Wrap the insulation tape around the legs of the frame where the rails meet. Drill a hole through the tape, insert the screws and fix the rails. The tape will act as a shock absorber for metal parts.
