Olee Sleep 18 Inch Tall T-3000 Heavy Duty Steel Slat / Non-slip Support Bed Frame,OLR18BF04F (FULL)

How to build a square wooden bed frame

A square wooden bed frame effectively supports a bed with a simple design and minimal accents. This frame is designed to fit a mattress of individual size, but can be easily adapted to fit any number of other sizes, simply by changing the dimensions. Headboards and bed feet added to each side of the frame also improve the appearance of the bed and are easy to install in the standard wooden frame with screws. This frame of the bed requires a minimum of materials and can be assembled with basic tools.

Instructions

1 Stand two 4 by 4 by 8 inch posts at their small ends, parallel to each other. Set a table of 1 1/2-by-3 1/2-by-41-inches on top of them, and move the messages to each end of the board so that its outer edges are even with the ends of the table, which is the leg support plate.

2 Drill two holes through the leg support plate and in each position for a total of four holes. Attach the leg support plate to the posts with 3-inch wood screws drilled through the holes. Repeat with two other poles and a leg support plate to make a second leg unit.

3 Separate the units of the leg by about six feet and two set 1 1/2-by-3 tables 1/2-by-77-inches on top of the units perpendicular to them. Extend the two long boards so that they are on the edges of the leg units, with their outline edges even and the ends of the long boards even with the outer edge of the leg units. Drill two holes along each long board and in each leg unit for a total of eight holes. Tighten the 3-inch wood screws in each hole and screw down hard.

4 Position two 1 1/2-by-3 1/2-by-34-inch boards at the top of the leg support boards and between the two long boards. Drill four holes through these new plates and into the leg support boards. Place in place with 2-inch wood screws in the holes.

5. Place a 3/4-by-41-by-77-inch sheet of high quality plywood on top of the bed frame and adjust the edges so they are even with the frame. Drill the holes every 12 inches around the plywood in the frame. Tighten the 2-inch wood screws into the holes and tighten them to secure the plywood.
