How to get rid of a brown ring in a toilet bowl
A brown ring often develops around the top of the water line in the toilet bowl, as that is where the hard water residue, lime, dirt and other elements end up forming and creating the stain. To get rid of the toilet bowl ring, you want to use ingredients that directly attack the accumulation without using much physical effort. You also want to stay away from the harmful chemical ingredients that are dangerous to the home and the environment.
Instructions
1 Pour 2 cups of baking soda into the toilet bowl and scrub the ring with your bath brush. Often, this will eliminate the light toilet rings.
2 Fill a spray bottle with white vinegar, and spray it heavily around the ring of the toilet bowl. Let the vinegar sit for about 30 minutes.
3 Scrub the toilet bowl again with your toilet brush and pull the chain.
4 Repeat as necessary to remove any remaining toilet bowl ring.
