How to remove lime scale from a toilet bowl
Lime builds up in areas of the house, where water stagnates, such as the toilet bowl. This is especially a problem in homes that have a supply of hard water that contains a high mineral content, as lime is even more present and stains the toilet bowl much more quickly. To remove the lime, you must use a cleaning mixture that dissolves the buildup without causing damage to the toilet bowl or piping system.
Instructions
1 Pour 2 cups of white vinegar into the toilet, put on the toilet lid and let the vinegar loosen the lime buildup for an hour.
2 Scrub lime stain the toilet bowl with the brush, and pull the chain.
3 Mix 1 cup of borax and 1 cup of vinegar in a disposable container with a disposable spoon until a paste forms.
4 Smear the paste on the spots of lime residues with the spoon, and discard both the plate and spoon, as borax is harmful if swallowed.
5 Let the paste sit on the stains of the toilet bowl overnight, scrub the lime with a bath brush and empty the toilet bowl.
