The easy way to assemble a metal bed frame with medium support
Whether you are willing or not mechanically, you can assemble a bed frame with a medium support. By connecting the side pieces to the medium support loosely before placing the bed in the frame, you can adjust and tighten the frame when it is in the correct space. By tightening the clamps after the bed is in place, you can have a perfect fitting bed frame for your mattress and king springs base.

Prepare
Set the two side pieces approximately 6.5 feet apart from each other. This is about the size of a double bed, which is 78 inches wide. Most frames of the king's bed have medium support due to their size. Most bed frames for other sizes do not need intermediate supports. Since a double bed is the size of two twin beds side by side, a medium support is often necessary to support the weight of the two mattresses and mattresses.
Pull the extensions of each side piece; These pieces connect the sides of the intermediate piece. There are two extensions per side piece, and they rotate and lock to create a 90 degree angle. When removed, the side piece has two extensions of 90 degrees each, one at the top and one at the foot of the bed.
Adjust the middle piece in the middle half way between the two side pieces. The extensions will be connected to the intermediate piece with adjustable clamps to hold the frame of the bed together. The centerpiece should have a set of wheels on each end so you can move the bed easily when necessary.
Assembly
Place one of the extension pieces lateral to the middle section, and slide the safety clamp so that both parts are connected. Screw on the flange nut until the section is a little narrow, leaving some room for movement you will have to adjust the frame to fit your mattress. Do this for all four extensions so that the frame of the bed is together, but loose enough for a quick adjustment.
Place the box springs in the frame. Adjust the frame to fit the box springs, and then tighten the four clamps fully until the frame is secure. You may have to get under the box springs to do so, but leave them in what is known the exact size of your bed. Place the mattress on the bed frame when you have finished tightening the bed frame.
