Night Therapy Platform Metal Bed Frame/Foundation Set(SmartBase + Metal Brackets for Headboard & Footboard + Bed Skirt - Queen) - No Box Spring needed

How to build a full size bed frame

The construction of a simple full-size bed frame is a project that can end in a single afternoon, as long as you have the tools and the wood in your hand. Even with a trip to your local home improvement center, you can have a new bed in a day. These plans are for a simple platform framework, but you can add headboard, foot and other embellishments as you see fit.

Instructions

1 Place the beams in a rectangle with the short beams inside the long beams. Screw in place with two screws per corner, punched through the side of the long beam in the center of the end of the short beam.

2 Place the wood on top of the frame. Screw in place with a screw in each corner and a screw in the center of each side.

3 Establish a command in a corner of the frame, in the angle formed by two beams. Screw it to the plywood sheet with two diagonal fixing screws. Screw through the plywood at the end of the post.

4 Repeat step three to complete the other three corners.

Tips and warnings

  •     If you want to paint your bed frame, sand and paint it before mounting the bed. Once the bed has been built, add touch-up paint over the head of each screw and over any scratch or chip that happened during construction.
