The power indicator is practical and easy to use. When the contacts are pressed, the electrical energy begins to flow and then converted into thermal energy and flows through the conductive layer of the battery. As a result, this energy quickly heats the Thermochromic Ink. When it is warm enough, the power indicator appears. Duracell is the only alkaline battery with a power indicator. POWERCHECK ™ always shows the full voltage of the battery, so you can use the battery in another device instead of throwing it away.
There are so many devices we can't live without. Of course, some of them need more energy than others. That's why the power indicator is very useful. If a device that consumes a lot of power does not work, it does not mean that the batteries are completely exhausted. There may still be enough power left for a device that consumes little energy. For example, when you remove used batteries from your digital camera, these batteries may work well in a toy (do not mix used batteries with new batteries). When the power indicator of a new battery is fully charged, a portion of the used battery will be full, while the exhausted batteries will indicate that there is no more energy available. Tips for proper battery care and use
Always use batteries of the correct size and type specified by the device manufacturer.
Each time you replace the battery, wipe the contacts and contacts on the battery compartments clean with a clean duster or cloth.
Remove batteries from devices that will not be used for months or are supplied with mains (AC) current.
Be sure to insert the batteries correctly with the + (plus) and - (minus) terminals aligned correctly. CAUTION: Some devices that use more than three batteries may appear to be working properly, even if one of the batteries is inserted incorrectly.
Over temperature reduces battery performance. Store the batteries in a dry place at normal room temperature. Do not put Duracell batteries in the refrigerator; this does not make them last longer; Also, avoid placing battery-powered devices in very hot places.

Recycling Batteries with Different Chemicals
Rechargeable lithium, lithium ion and zinc air batteries should be recycled. Lead-containing car batteries should only be taken to waste treatment centers where they will eventually be recycled. Because of the value of the battery components, many car retailers and service centers will buy used batteries for recycling.
