Knowing bottom wiping techniques in babies is very important for your baby's health. Babies urinate as soon as they're born. Urinary tract infection of the newborn during infancy and other periods may be caused by incorrect wiping.
The baby's poo is very sticky in the early days. For this, it should be cleaned immediately. If cleansing is delayed, it dries and irritates the skin.
You should always wash your hands when you do every cleaning. You should not touch your baby's diaper or the handkerchief you wish to wipe underneath before washing your hands. Otherwise you can spread the germs on your hands to the baby's materials. After completing your hand wash, you can contact your baby's cleaning materials.
The baby that has been changed should be placed in a safe place. You should never forget the possibility of turning and falling. Cleaning materials should be as close as you can reach out. Baby oil, wet wipes, diapers and, if necessary, diaper rash conditioners should be kept ready for use.
For baby girls, you should be very careful about the bottom wiping process. Because the urinary tract is very short, it is susceptible to infection. Bottom wiping must be performed in a single movement from top to bottom. You should not wipe again from bottom to top with the bottom wipe that contacts the baby's breech.
