1 Start one sheet of each paper towel to be tested. Place each on top of a glass of water, and fasten it to the rim with an elastic band. If you frequently treat wet surfaces when rubbing, moisten the surface of the paper towel before continuing.

6 Determine which paper towel was most absorbent and compare the results with those of the resistance test. If the same paper towel was the best in both cases, then you have a clear winner. If not, decide from which task you need the best performance to determine the best paper towel for you.
