Replace the spark plug every year or two. Use a special spark plug connector that is deeper and unscrew the plug by observing the number printed on the connector to know the type needed accurately.
Get a new air filter every year. Look in the small cover of the box that fits open and pull the old filter. Take the small filter to a home and garden store or check the product number in the manual.
Keep the lawnmower at the end of the season to maintain a consistent service. Read the manual, always drain the gas and then start the lawnmower to burn the remaining fuel from the lines.
Tips
See if there are yellow leaves under the lawn mower and repair the cutting edge of the blades. Go to any home and garden store that sells lawn mowers and gets new knives. To change them you need to remove the single bolt underneath and replace a sharp blade part pointing downwards.
Warning
Avoid smoke and flames when using the clipper. Do not use gases from previous years when the new station begins. Never work with a cutter that has a compromised spark plug, always unplug the cable.
