How to clean white grout on tile floors

Grout is a mixture of cement and sand, and when your grout is white, it quickly shows when the debris or spills have left the grout dirty and unattractive. Many people think that chlorine can be used to clean almost any white surface around the house. The truth is that when using chlorine in the grout may cause discoloration of the grout, not to mention the surrounding tile. This makes it important to select an effective alternative product that safely removes any build-up and cleans the grout without causing any damage to any grout or tile.

Instructions

1 fill a spray bottle with 7 cups of water, 1/4 Cup white vinegar, 1/3 cup ammonia and 1/2 cup sodium bicarbonate. Turn the lid on the jar and the tremor.

2 Spray the solution over the grout, using a straight jet style nozzle adjustment on your spray bottle so the solution is shot straight straight over the grout.

3 Clean the grout with a damp sponge. Use The nylon sponge side of the sponge to remove any harder debris.

4 Clean the grout with a damp cloth to collect the raised residue.

Tips and warnings

  •     Never mix ammonia and lye, as this combination creates toxic fumes.
