Sand-free grout is typically used between wall tiles or any place with very small space. This grout is thinner and less durable than sand grout. Sand-free grout can accumulate mold, mildew, and dirt, especially when used in humid areas. Clean your grout with oxygen bleach and a toothbrush for a smoke-free experience.
Instructions
1 make an oxygen bleach paste and a part of lukewarm water. Mix well in a plastic bucket or container with a toothbrush or hand. Be sure to wear gloves when working with oxygen bleach.
2 apply pasta to grout with a toothbrush or fingers. Cover with enough dough to hide the grout from the sight. Allow to stand for at least 15 minutes or more for hard mold or mildew stains.
3 Rub the grout with a toothbrush. Pay special attention to areas with the appearance of mold, as these spots tend to have more work to remove.
4 Rinse the grout with a clean, damp cloth. Rinse and squeeze the cloth on the fly to ensure that any dirt and debris is eroded. If you have a shower head attached to a hose, use it to rinse the grout.
5 Dry the grout with a towel. Moisture is an enemy of grout, feeding the growth of mold and fungus.
Tips and warnings
- Always wear gloves when working with oxygen bleach, as your strong concentration can burn your bare skin.
