How to fix a Husqvarna lawn mower with Auto Walk
Although much of Husqvarna is known for the manufacture of a wide selection of chainsaws, the company also makes many of the push mowers. Husqvarna Power Drive cutters are widely used because the power propulsion function takes some of the strenuous work of having to push the lawnmower through thick. If your Husqvarna does not start, there are several things you can check and repair at home before you disburse hard earned money for simple repairs.
Instructions
1 Open the petrol cap and check the fuel level. As simple as it sounds, it's something the owners can easily overlook. Also, if there is no gasoline in the tank, tilt the mower sideways to empty it and then re-fill the tank with fresh gas and then try to give it a new start.
2 Examine choke throttle while moving. Make sure the cable is actually still attached to the side of the carburetor. If it seems loose, use some fine-tipped pliers to guide the cable back into the small hole in the carburetor linkage.
3 Remove the spark plug wire with the pliers and then use a spark plug wrench to remove the old plug. Install the new twisting plug by hand and then tighten with the spark plug wrench. Try to start the mower after installing a new plug.
4 Check that the control bar is pulled backwards when trying to start the cut. If the control bar is not depressed when trying to start, the mower will not start.
5 Remove the screw from the air filter cover with a screwdriver and then remove the air filter. Clean the tapping gently on the floor, or simply replace it with a new air filter if it is completely corroded.
