Brown grout Tile looks dirty and unattractive. Tiled floors, shower walls, and kitchen dashboards exposed to wear, water, or food waste need regular cleaning. Lighten and brighten the grout with chlorine and water. Bleach disinfects and bleaches grout, resulting in a clean surface and new looking tiles. Keep this look clean by sealing the cement grout a year.
Instructions
1 fill a bucket with 1 gallon of water and 3/4 cup of bleach. Wear rubber gloves and protective goggles.
2 Immerse a brush in the solution and apply it to the grout between each plate. Work from the top to the bottom, immerse the brush when it begins to dry. Wet all of the grout, and let the lye plant for about 10 minutes.
3 Immerse the brush in the bleach and scrub over the entire grout. Concentrate on stains and dirty areas.
4 Rinse the grout with the shower head, a cloth dampened with water or a cup full of water.
5 Dry the tile and grout with a clean cloth. Grout will not appear clearer until it dries completely.
Tips and warnings
- Oxygen bleach can be replaced by chlorine in the same proportion, but be sure to mix the solution well with a spoon and let it dissolve completely before cleaning.
