Removing stains from unsealed grout

Removing stains from unsealed grout

Grout is a simply mixture of cement, sand and dye, which is typically white. When the grout is not properly sealed, the chances of a stain occurring are high. It is highly porous, which means that any liquid and even air can penetrate through the grout, causing stains and discoloration. Although most stains can be difficult to remove from any surface, grout stains will not give you a difficult time.

Grout Cleaner Product

Instructions

1 measure all ingredients and place in spray bottle. You will need 1/2 cup of baking soda, 1/4 cup white vinegar, 1/3 cup ammonia and 7 glasses full of water.

2 Screw the spray cap into the jar and shake well

3 Spray the solution over the grout and let it stand for approximately one minute. When you let go, the solution has time to set up in the grout and whiten the stain caused by dirt and grime.

4 Clean the distance solution with a damp sponge. There is no need to dry the grout.

5 Spray a half-, half-water peroxide solution in the grout daily to prevent mold from forming inside the grout, causing staining.

Tips and warnings
