Cleaning the grout with detergent

Cleaning the grout with detergent

Grout can sometimes be difficult to clean as dirt is lodged in cracks between floor or wall tiles. Grout lines are sometimes very narrow, which makes getting all the dirt out more of a problem. The detergent is very useful to get the grout back to its original color while removing dirt and dust. Cleaning the grout with detergent is usually a quick process that requires only a few simple tools.

Grout Cleaner Product

Instructions

1 Mix a few drops of detergent in a gallon of warm water. For an even stronger grout cleaner, mix the detergent with half water, half white vinegar.

2 apply grout detergent mixture with a clean sponge. Let the mixture rest on the grout lines for several minutes to break dirt and deposits.

3 Scrub The grout lines with a soft brush. Smaller grout lines can effectively clean the use of a toothbrush.

4 Rinse the grout with regular warm water to remove the detergent and vinegar solution.

5 Dry The grout lines with a microfiber towel. The fibers in the towel will create additional friction that will help remove any remaining residue as the grout dried up.
