How to clean the Haze grout outside glazed porcelain floor tile

After a tile floor installation, a film usually remains on the surface of the tile. This film is a residue of grout application called Grout Mist. Opacity is simply a thin film that dulls the finish of the tile and easy to clean with a cloth or sponge and warm water, or with the use of a specific product remove the mist grout. Remove Grout Mist as part of the cleaning process before applying tile sealant.

Instructions

1 fill the bucket with hot, running water. Moisten the sponge or a tile cloth and drain excess water. Clean the tiles at an angle to the joints, rinse the sponge or cloth between each wipe. Rinsing several times helps to control the propagation of tile opacity in tile.

2 Empty the tray. Rinse it, as well as the sponge or bottom cloth. Refill the bucket with running, hot water. Clean each tile piece in a diagonal for a second time to remove any residue from the grout even further the remaining mist.

3 Use the cloth or dry paper towel gently to polish each tile and eliminate dulling of any remaining opacity lost by the first two passes with the damp sponge. The hen of the tiles in a circular motion, being careful not to displace any of the grout between the tiles that are still drying.

Tips and warnings

  •     Drain the sponge properly to avoid adding more water to the cured cement grout.
  •     Commercial Mist Grout Cleaner is an option available for cleaning running water.
