Opaque white nozzle inevitably accumulates on newly installed tiles during the injection process. Opacity is made up of cement and additives, which harden and increase their bonding to the tiles over time. Grout sets on longer, more difficult turbidity tiles are re-cleaned. If opacity is not removed in a timely manner it can cause tiles to become permanently disfigure with white residue. Fortunately, commercial opacity removers are not required to remove tile grout mist; Home remedies are equally effective, but cost less and contain no toxic chemicals.
Instructions
1 fill a bottle of spray with lukewarm water. Sprinkle the water on the affected tiles to completely saturate the opacity.
2 fill a plastic pail with lukewarm water for rinsing purposes.
3 Rub wet tiles with a degreased synthetic fiber pad to remove mist from grout. Frequently wet the scrubber in the rinsing bucket to avoid re-applying grout particles from the tiles. Clean as many opacity as possible.
4 Examine the tiles for traces of remaining opacity. If white residue persists, fill a second bucket with one gallon of warm water. Dissolve a cup of sugar in the hot water.
5 pour the sugar solution over the remaining opacity. Leave the solution in the fog for two hours.
6 Scrub The remaining opacity with the scouring pad. Periodically rinse the scouring pad with fresh water.
7 Clean tile with paper towels until dry.
Tips and warnings
