How to clean tile grout with a Dremel tool
The lines between their floors and coatings are known as grout lines. Over time, these lines get dirty with dirt and maybe Mold formation. Cleaning grout Lines is a time consuming task, especially if you are doing it with your hand. However, if you own a Dremel tool, a high-speed rotary instrument, you can reduce the cleaning time. Although not currently Dremel advertise a specific accessory for cleaning grout, the pressure of light from a polishing cone or bristle brush is sufficient to clean the grout stains.
Instructions
1 Install a little abrasive polishing on your Dremel as a cone or nylon felt polishing bristle brush.
2 Spray a grout section with a commercial grout cleaner. You can make your own cleaner by mixing 2 parts of hydrogen peroxide with 2 parts of water in a spray bottle. Allow The cleaner to run in the grout for 10 minutes, or follow the instructions in the commercial grout cleaner package.
3 Turn on the Dremel tool, and allow maximum speed to be reached for one minute. If you are using the bristle brush, this allows loose bristles that fall before use.
4 wear safety goggles or other eye protection. Press the Dremel attachment lightly over the grout line, and work with backward and forward motions to clean the grout. As soon as you have done an area, clean the clean grout with a dry cloth.
5 apply an artist's brush grout sealant Once the grout is clean. This helps in the prevention of stains.
