Grout can easily become dirty. In humid areas, such as bathing or showering, mold may be the problem. In the kitchen food and daily traffic will add to the dirt. Instead of using chemical grout cleaners, try a natural vinegar solution first.
Instructions
Spray
1 Add equal amounts of water and white vinegar to a spray bottle. Stir the jar to mix the ingredients.
2 Spray a small section of grout.
3 Use a hard bristle brush to scrub grout. SRUB a small section at a time with a circular motion.
4 Rinse with water and remove any excess moisture with a dry sponge or towel.
Vinegar and baking soda
5 Sprinkle with a small amount of baking soda on the tiles.
6 Pour the vinegar directly onto the baking soda. Allow the bubble mixture for a few minutes.
7 Sprinkle with a little more vinegar and then rinse with water.
Tips and warnings
- A toothbrush can be used instead of brush. The small head of the toothbrush will allow you to enter the grout slot. The bristles on the brush may not be stiff enough.
