Homemade remedies to clean the grout
The space between the tiles that we know as grout is always picking up dirt and dirt; Without a persistent cleaning, the grout may look bad very quickly. Cleaning grout requires a certain amount of perseverance to make it look nice. While many people enlist professionals to keep their appearance nice looking grout, you can easily keep the grout clean yourself and save your pocket at the same time.
Cleaning the Grout
If you continue with your grout and clean it regularly, you will find it is much easier to clean and requires much less effort. The best tool to clean the grout is a toothbrush. Never use anything more than a toothbrush, as it may damage the grout.
Use a spray bottle to spray a solution of equal parts of vinegar and water into the grout and leave to soak for at least five minutes. If the grout is very dirty and has been a while since it has been cleaned, use only white vinegar that has been heated in the microwave until it is hot to soak the grout. After five minutes, rub the clean area with a toothbrush and rinse the area thoroughly.
Mix the baking soda and water to form a paste and use it to scrub the grout free of any loose dirt and debris. Rinse the area thoroughly to wash off excess baking soda and dirt.
Steam cleaning is the easiest way to clean grout that does not require the use of chemicals. Keep the steam cleaner fixed against a grout surface for 10 to 15 seconds. The steam will help loosen any dirt that may be attached to the grout. Use a toothbrush or small brush to scrub dirt. When cleaning is complete, rinse the area with clean water to remove any residual dirt.
Removing grout stains
Spray the shaving cream in the grout and let stand for three to five minutes. Rub the area with a damp toothbrush and rinse the area with clean water when the cleaning is complete.
Pour 3 percent hydrogen peroxide into a spray bottle and saturate the grout with it. Allow to stand for at least 15 minutes before scrubbing the grout with a toothbrush soaked in 3 percent hydrogen peroxide. Rinse the area with clean water to remove any residual dirt when cleaning is complete.
Mix the hydrogen peroxide and baking soda in a paste and apply it to the grout when it stops bubbling. Cover the grout completely and let stand for ten minutes before scrubbing into the trash with a toothbrush.
