1 replace the spark plug. The plug is located under a black hose on the motor. Unscrew the plug with an adjustable wrench. Look at the number on the side of the plug. Replace the cap with a new one with the same number.
2 Place the new gasoline on the motor. If gasoline has been inside the engine during the winter, it will begin to decompose. Drain the gas out of the motor by disconnecting the gas tank and drainage plug into a container. Reconnect the tank and pour new gasoline into the engine.
3 Replace the air filter. The air filter is located under the black Square plate on the motor side. Unscrew the plate with a Phillips screwdriver. Pop the old filter with your hand. Place a new filter in position and screw the plate into position.
4 Replace the back cover, if it breaks or if part of a rip-off. Lift the rear door that is under the handle of the lawnmower. With your hand, push the flap of the court by pulling it to the left. This will disconnect the fin hook. Slide a new flap into the fin hook and then into the hole on the other side.
5 Replace the drive belt of the self-propelled mower if the Power wheels do not activate the powered mode. Loosen the two screws securing the self-propelled unit cover in place. Push the sides of the cover in and pull the cover. There's only one inner band here, so you'll see it immediately. Find the tension screw, the piece that is holding the tape in place. With the screwdriver, loosen the screw until the belt is limping. Pull the belt out of the motor pulley and drive the pulley to release it from the lawnmower. Place the belt around the motor pulley and drive pulley. Tension screw tightened screw. Fit the unit cover into position and screw in place.
