Mowing the lawn is one of those summer chores you have to do. However, if your Husqvarna lawn mower is not working well, trying to complete this task can be frustrating. Even with little experience, try a lot of different things to try to solve the problem before calling a professional. Solving the problem yourself can save you time and money while giving you a sense of satisfaction.
Instructions
1 Check fuel supply. An empty tank, the fuel is old or the water in the tank will keep the lawnmower from starting. Before starting the engine, make sure the fuel valve lever is in the "On" position.
2 Check the oil level, as the excess oil in the motor can make the machine lose power.
3 Look for debris in the air filter. A clogged filter can prevent the mower from starting or losing power when cutting.
4 Examine the spark plug and make sure it works and connects properly. Loose plugs or bad sparks do not work, and the equipment will not start.
5 Check that the battery is fully charged and connected to the motor or the mower will not start.
6 Adjust the wheels so they are of the same height and high enough of the ground that the landing gear does not drag, otherwise the length of the grass may be irregular or the mower may become difficult to push.
7 Examine The position of the cutting height lever on the left side above the front wheel if the grass is the wrong length. A reduced height adjustment will keep the mower from catching the grass clippings.
8 Inspect the blade and the blade adaptor. If they are loose, the machine will not start. A damaged or worn blade may cause the starter rope to be difficult to achieve, causing uneven cuts, making the power supply loose or causing excessive vibration. If the crane on the blade has been used off, the grass catcher will not fill properly. An accumulation of clippings and other debris may cause the mower to lose power or make uneven cuts.
9 Check the belt. If it is damaged or out of the pulley, it may cause the mower to move slowly or improperly.
10 Inspect the crankshaft, if damaged, may cause excessive vibration.
11 Check the grass catcher is clean, otherwise you can let the air out and not be able to fill properly.
