How to clean tile grout naturally

Grout Tile is a magnet for dust and dirt, and a common goal for spring cleaning. Cleaning the grout of the tile requires, of course, only the common elements of the house, however. Vinegar, baking soda and hydrogen peroxide can effectively eliminate stubborn dirt and stains, and erase days, weeks or years of dirt. Use these ingredients safely, quickly and easily remove tile grout stains without having to resort to expensive cleaning products purchased from the store.

Instructions

1 moisten tile grout with a little water. Do not leave stagnant water; Just make sure the area is a little damp. Apply water with a sponge to obtain the best results.

2 Sprinkle baking soda over the wet tile grout and let stand for five to 10 minutes. Pour the pure white vinegar over the baking soda and wait for the effervescence to finish.

3 Rub the tile grout with a toothbrush for several minutes to remove any remaining dirt and stains. If a toothbrush is not available, use a scouring pad or brush to clean the tile.

4 Pour the undiluted hydrogen peroxide into a plastic spray bottle if the stains are still visible. Spray directly onto tile grout and allow to settle for an additional five to 10 minutes before cleaning clean. Use alcohol instead, if you prefer.

Tips and warnings

  •     Clean tile grout can be preserved after this treatment by rubbing with vinegar on a weekly basis.
  •     Do not use hydrogen peroxide in combination with bleach or lye cleaners when cleaning tile grout. This can cause a toxic reaction.
